Chris Tso is a songwriter/composer who crafts lyrics and music to take you on trips inside the minds of people, either brazenly vocal or quietly living in the margins of society. Why are their convictions so strong? What are their triggers, motivators and how are they so comfortable in the darkness that they occupy? Not to be taken literally, but more a fictional musical perspective reporting from the center of the fringe.
The single, “Beautiful”, launches with an aggressive kick drum, juxtaposed with acoustic guitars and symphonic baritone guitar swells. Tso describes it as “Confessional vocals describing the pleasant sheen that people see which can mask the conflict and malevolence harbored inside. How will societies evolve? How will alternate realities shape public opinion, sometimes motivating our darkest urges? Everything is beautiful, but alas, everything is not always beautiful.”
